Zoonosis, Food Safety and Environmental Health

The instrumental role of the Zoonosis, Food Safety and Environmental Health Committee that is also under the National One Health Committee Platform recognizes that the health of humans is closely connected to the health of animals, plants, and our shared environment. Therefore, monitoring of environmental effects, zoonosis (e.g., Rabies, Salmonellosis, West Nile) is of utmost importance to protect human health, animal health, food security within our shared environment.

Supporting the prediction, detection, prevention, control, and response to and rehabilitation from emerging, re-emerging, and endemic zoonosis, other public health events, and  environmental challenges.

Facilitate the collection, analysis, interpretation of environmental, agricultural, and human health data for effective decision-making.
